Cakes For All Occasions "Cake Talk with Margaret " is situated in Mosgiel at 11 Silverstream Drive Mosgiel 14km south of Dunedin city.
We are a registered & licensed kitchen with the Dunedin City Council and are home based.

By Appointment only. Phone to make an appointment with Margaret - Open Monday to Friday 10am -4pm
Margaret also holds a 167 food handling certificate.

We undertake cakes for -Weddings Traditional and Modern- Adult Birthdays including 21st Birthdays- but no nude cakes will be undertaken this is a personal decision- Childrens novelty and other designs- Anniversaries- Christmas- Corporate-Christening & Naming Ceremonies - Baby Shower ,Engagement , Graduation
Please place your cake order at least 14 days before celebration or sooner as some cakes can take many hour to create and remember there is only one pair of hands to do this you.

With almost 40 years of cake decorating experience under her belt Margaret can cater for all taste buds offering 29 different cake recipes including a family fruit cake made for the Queen, including Gluten Free & Dairy Free recipes including 10 cup cake recipes all to home made recipes and made all from scratch with the freshest of ingredients so can not get better than this.
We cater for all styles of cakes from 1 tier and larger up to 11 tiers has been done -fruit cakes must be ordered in advance 2-3 months to mature is advised.

Margarets Incredible baking abitlies were quickly recognized starting with family & friends, however Margaret was soon making cakes for people all over the Taieri & Dunedin & also has done cakes for overseas clients plus also for students studying at Otago University & Polytechnic.

Margaret has seen many changes of styles and ways of decorating in her 40 years of decorating cakes.
Margaret is a member of the New Zealand Cake Guild since 1987- founder of the Taieri Cake Decorating Guild in 1993 and has held positions of Secretary and Committee.

We have the best cake tin selection in Mosgiel & the Dunedin area - which can be seen on the website with images ,but also Margaret is happy to send you the list and images if you forward your email address to her.
Cake stands assorted are also available for hire from 1 tier to 7 tier also seen on the website. We are the place in the Dunedin area for this service including a white wrought iron archway for your outside wedding or the reception, which you can decorate as you require .

For brides to be we offer a bridal package to you, which can be sent by email on request or at your appointment -we do charge a small fee for the appointment payable at the appointment, which covers my time and on confirmation of the booking this will be taken off the cake price which can be confirmed at the appointment or 2 weeks after. Please allow at least 1 hour of your time or longer to go over your cake /cakes design and other requirements for the special occasion.
If we do not hear back from the client after the 2 weeks booking it will be cancelled, this is a sign of respect & curtsey as dates can be booked in advance.
Once confirmed all cakes a require a 50% deposit payable by direct credit or cash so this enable to get your cake ingredients etc. and balance to be paid by direct credit before the date required or either at pick up .

If not paid in full your cake will not be handed over to the client or delivered to your venue. The cake /cakes remains the property of CAKES FOR ALL OCCASIONS UNTIL PAID IN FULL. This is our policy.

Prices can very from cake to cake due to cake flavours and design to what is required, but we will endeavor to try to go within your budget, but remember prices can change due to price ingredients etc., which is out of my control.
